Najum was born in Karachi, Pakistan.

He garnered much acclaim for his debutant novel "Four Thousand Friends".

Najum is a full-time Consultant Gynaecologist and an educator at one of the largest hospitals in Europe by day-time and a novelist at night/weekends. He lives in Birmingham with his family. When not writing, he could be found walking head-down in Cannon Hill Park, mulling over the storylines and his book characters. An admitted sports fanatic, Najum feeds his addiction by watching cricket at Edgbaston Cricket Ground or on TV.

 

His latest novel Not a Wall in the Desert was published in 2021.
